Preregistration is encouraged but not required.
We at Quaker Call to Action are calling upon each of you to take action to protect our democracy prior to, during, and after the upcoming November election.
The national video call on August 30 provided suggestions and resources to enable you to plan and carry out your own chosen actions. The September meeting and another follow-up meeting in October will allow you the opportunity to share more information about actions you have taken and what you have experienced in defense of democracy.
These meetings will be held, over Zoom video conferencing, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on these dates:
• Sunday September 20
• Sunday October 18
Register here for the next meeting, or for both September and October
You may view video recording of our last meeting, August 30, here.

All resources mentioned in these meetings will be added to our Election Resources page.
The upcoming meetings will feature extensive audience participation. To be recognized to speak we ask that you use the Zoom "Raise your hand" feature. If you are not familiar with this procedure, you will want to look over these instructions:

We have compiled a list of important resources to help you join the effort to protect the mid-term elections.

We want you to know about an important new resource. Election Defense Scenarios, by Daniel Hunter, is a 73-page field guide for protecting democracy in the 2026 mid-term elections. This resource includes 18 detailed scenarios—from voter roll purges and redistricting attacks to armed intimidation at polling places and post-election battles over the certification of vote tabulations.

If you missed any of our National Meetings, you may view the presentations and find resources on our site.

The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) invites Friends and people of all faiths to gather in Quaker-led silent worship all across the country—to share witness to the rising authoritarianism and oppression in the United States.
By standing together in silence, we affirm that every person has worth, that fear and violence must give way to love and fairness, and that our communities thrive when all are welcomed.
Go to https://afsc.org/love-action to find a toolkit for organizing an action with your Quaker community, links to register for a planned Love as Action event in your area, downloaded posters, and more.

The Indiana Friends Committee on Legislation has created a set of posters for Friends to use in the No Kings Day protests, and wherever Friends gather to protest tyranny.
